We just wrapped on Week 13, and lets just say I'm glad this week is over. While it was a very exciting week with getting to see our baby again, I felt more discomfort this week than I have so far. Sleep is not steady, and hard to get back to once I'm awake. I had some tailbone pain at the beginning of the 2nd month, but that passed once my uterus shifted forward. That pain was NOTHING compared to some nerve trouble I was having at work yesterday. I work an 8-5, and also cocktail waitress in a restaurant bar a few days a week. On Sunday's, I always work a double. About 2 hours into my shift yesterday, I started getting shooting pains down my tail-bone, and my left leg. These pains lasted the whole shift, and thru most of the night. Clay has a hot bath drawn for me when I got home from work, then rubbed my lower back where the pain started. This helped tremendously, but I was pretty uncomfortable most of the night. Today, it's much better, but there's still tension. It's an improvement from yesterday though, so I'll take it! This is just the beginning of lots of pains to come, and they'll all be so worth it come March! That seems so far away, but this pregnancy is absolutley flying by so far! Here's the week 13 questionnaire!
How far along? 14 weeks
Total weight gain/loss? I don't weigh myself anymore. We'll see at our Doctor's appt on Thursday, but I don't care to know unless there's a problem.
Maternity clothes? I'm still fitting in my regular clothes with some modifications. (The Hair Tie trick for pants) The only part of my wardrobe I see being a big problem are my work pants for the fall/winter. I'm fairly certain I'll just be living in maxi skirts and sweaters to avoid having to purchase a whole new wardrobe.
Stretch marks? None, and I'm being adiment about applying lotion like a mad woman now that everything seems to be expanding quicker than before!
Sleep? I'm able to stay up later/ be more active now, but am NOT sleeping well. I'm up every few hours, and have trouble getting back to sleep. Not a fan of this.
Best moment this week? Seeing the baby moving around like crazy at our ultrasound last week! The first 2 ultrasounds the baby wasn't moving at all, so this was amazing to see! He or she was tumbling all over the place, and stretching their arms over their head. Clay, and I were both smiling so hard watching it, and I may have cried seeing it all.....pregnancy hormones are real people.
Miss Anything? The ease of sleep I had the first few months.
Movement? Too early for that, but there's definitely a lot of activity going on down there. Especially at night, my belly feels like it's little gas bubbles or tickling me from the inside. It's such a strange, beautiful feeling!
Food cravings? Still stuck on Peanut Butter & Jelly, and I go to bed almost every night with a chocolate chip eggo waffle.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nothing lately
Have you started to show yet? Yes, but I can also still keep it hidden. I'm showing more in my hips than with a bump on the belly. The bump just started poking out, but my jeans haven't fit in a while because of everything expanding width wise.
Gender? At our ultrasound, the tech gave us a "prediction" that it's a boy. It's absolutely not offical, and too early to know for sure, but that's what she thinks. I still think it's a girl, Clay still thinks it's a boy. We find out for sure on October 16th!
Labor Signs? Nope
Belly Button in or out? In
Happy or Moody most of the time? Clay used the words, "Sassy" and "Fiesty" a bit more often this week. I think it's related to not sleeping well, but I'm still way happy most of the time.
Looking forward to? Our Dr Appt this week, and finally getting to hear the baby's heart beat!!! We've been very lucky, and have gotten to see the baby a lot thus far. After this week, we won't get to see it again for 5 weeks at the gender reveal ultrasound so I'm loving every second of our appointments!
