Week 16- Baby is the size of an Avacado!

16 Weeks

Week 16 was another good week! My body is starting to change more drastically, and this is the first week that I've really FELT pregnant. The ligaments in my lower abdomen are stretching, and causing sharp pains/pressure, more so at night than during the day. Even though this is painful, it doesn't last long, and i'm kind of fascinated by it! I swear every day my belly is a little bit bigger than it was the day before. When I put my hand on my belly, it's also starting to round out much more! It's so beautiful to see/feel this transition :-)

How far along? 17 weeks today

Total weight gain/loss? Won't be doing this part until the next Dr. Appt. I don't trust my sclae at home, so I'm only going off of the "official" one.

Maternity clothes? Still making my regular clothes work with modifications. I give it 3 weeks until no pants fit, and i'm kind of ok with that. I looked at Motherhood Maternity the other day for the first time, and the preggo jeans really aren't bad! Aside from the waist band, you'd never know they weren't normal jeans, and they're cute/ cheap.

Stretch marks? None, and I'm being adiment about applying lotion like a mad woman now that everything seems to be expanding quicker than before!

Sleep? Can't get enough of it! And I got the preggo pillow last week, and LOVE IT! Oh my gosh, I can tell such a difference when I sleep with it vs. when I don't.

Best moment this week? Feeling & seeing my belly really starting to change.

Miss Anything? Steak, I like mine cooked Rare, which is a big no-no during pregnancy :-(

Movement? No movement yet. If so, it's being over passed by the pains my ligaments stretching is causing. Ha!

Food cravings? Not at the same time, but salad & orange juice.

Anything making you queasy or sick? I've never been a fan of whipped cream, but smelling it doesn't bother me. For some reason, when Clay sprayed some directly into his mouth the other night, and it sent me running to the bathroom. We were also at dinner with his dad, and grandpa so this was mildly embarassing..... lol.

Have you started to show yet? Yes, and I won't be able to hide it for long.

Gender? 2 more weeks until we know for sure :-)

Labor Signs? Nope

Belly Button in or out? In

Happy or Moody most of the time? Happily exhausted

Looking forward to? Finding out the gender :-) We had talked about waiting until birth to find out, but now that we've decided to find out, I'm really excited/anxious about it! Come on Oct. 16th!!!

Week 15- Baby is the size of an Apple!

Week 15 was a good one!!! I got heart burn for the first time on Friday, and that was NOT  a good time. It passed after an hour or so though, and I haven't gotten it agian since. I'll count that as a blessing, and never eat the smart ones turkey and potatoes meal again. Aside from rapidly growing, my body felt normal this week. As I write this, we're at the beginning of the 16th week. We find out the sex in 3 weeks!!! This all seems so crazy to me! Time is absolutely flying by! I can't wait to meet our sweet baby, but wouldn't complain if time would slow down just a bit either. Being preganat has been such a blissful, blessing thus far. :-) Here's the overview of what Week 15 was like!

How far along? 16 weeks today

Total weight gain/loss? Won't be doing this part until the next Dr. Appt. I don't trust my sclae at home, so I'm only going off of the "official" one.

Maternity clothes? Not yet, but my work pants for the restaurant just magically stopped working yesterday, even with the hair tie trick, they were a no-go! Fortunately I still had a bigger size that I fit into, but even that pair needs the hair tie modification.

Stretch marks? None, and I'm being adiment about applying lotion like a mad woman now that everything seems to be expanding quicker than before!

Sleep? Back to not being able to get enough of it. I've been working 60 hour weeks between both jobs, and it's starting to catch up with me. I'll continue to do it until I can't anymore. Babies are expensive y'all!

Best moment this week? Sleeping well all week.

Miss Anything? Steak, I like mine cooked Rare, which is a big no-no during pregnancy :-(

Movement? Too early for that, but there's definitely a lot of activity going on down there. Especially at night, my belly feels like it's little gas bubbles or tickling me from the inside. It's such a strange, beautiful feeling!

Food cravings? I was on a cookie kick this week, and cocoa puffs. Very different development because until now, I haven't wanted chocolate at all!

Anything making you queasy or sick? The thought of baked chicken. I can have fried chicken or chicken on pizza, but a baked chicken breast just sounds awful.

Have you started to show yet? Yes, and I won't be able to hide it for long.

Gender? At our ultrasound, the tech gave us a "prediction" that it's a boy. It's absolutely not offical, and too early to know for sure, but that's what she thinks. I still think it's a girl, Clay still thinks it's a boy. We find out for sure on October 16th!

Labor Signs? Nope

Week 14

We just wrapped on Week 14, and it was a great week! I had no discomfort, more energy, and slept great all week. I'm finally able to get back into working out, which I couldn't do at all the first 3 months. The first time I tried running, I stopped shortly after. I felt very off balance, and wasn't sure what was right or wrong about it. This week, running felt more natural, and I was able to go farther than last time. The pups, as well as mama, are thrilled to be spending more time out of bed. The pic this week is from our 3-D Ultrasound of baby at 12 1/2 weeks . Baby has a long torso like daddy! Hope you enjoy!

How far along? 15 weeks today

Total weight gain/loss? 7 lbs total. I gained 5 within the first month of pregnancy, and was some what freaking out about not wanting to gain too much. It's slowed down quite a bit now thankfully!

Maternity clothes? Not yet. Most of my pants need some modification already, but the pair that I wore to the fair this weekend still buttoned with out muffin top! It was a very exciting day!

Stretch marks? None, and I'm being adiment about applying lotion like a mad woman now that everything seems to be expanding quicker than before!

Sleep? Sleep was much better this week. I've started being more active, and taking the dogs for long walks at night so that's helping too!

Best moment this week? Hearing the baby's heart beat for the first time. He/she was coming in steady at 161 bpm, which is higher than it has been in the past, so the tech said it was probably moving around :-) That sound, was the most beautiful thing I've ever heard. We recorded it, and I listen to it every day.

Steak, steak, steak! And peanut butter & jelly still :-)

Anything making you queasy or sick? Nothing lately

Have you started to show yet? Yes, but I can also still keep it hidden. I have a feeling that won't last for long though. Everything seems to be expanding at a rapid pace lately.

Week 13

We just wrapped on Week 13, and lets just say I'm glad this week is over. While it was a very exciting week with getting to see our baby again, I felt more discomfort this week than I have so far. Sleep is not steady, and hard to get back to once I'm awake. I had some tailbone pain at the beginning of the 2nd month, but that passed once my uterus shifted forward. That pain was NOTHING compared to some nerve trouble I was having at work yesterday. I work an 8-5, and also cocktail waitress in a restaurant bar a few days a week. On Sunday's, I always work a double. About 2 hours into my shift yesterday, I started getting shooting pains down my tail-bone, and my left leg. These pains lasted the whole shift, and thru most of the night. Clay has a hot bath drawn for me when I got home from work, then rubbed my lower back where the pain started. This helped tremendously, but I was pretty uncomfortable most of the night. Today, it's much better, but there's still tension. It's an improvement from yesterday though, so I'll take it! This is just the beginning of lots of pains to come, and they'll all be so worth it come March! That seems so far away, but this pregnancy is absolutley flying by so far! Here's the week 13 questionnaire!
How far along? 14 weeks

Total weight gain/loss? I don't weigh myself anymore. We'll see at our Doctor's appt on Thursday, but I don't care to know unless there's a problem.

Maternity clothes? I'm still fitting in my regular clothes with some modifications. (The Hair Tie trick for pants) The only part of my wardrobe I see being a big problem are my work pants for the fall/winter. I'm fairly certain I'll just be living in maxi skirts and sweaters to avoid having to purchase a whole new wardrobe.

Stretch marks? None, and I'm being adiment about applying lotion like a mad woman now that everything seems to be expanding quicker than before!

Sleep? I'm able to stay up later/ be more active now, but am NOT sleeping well. I'm up every few hours, and have trouble getting back to sleep. Not a fan of this.

Best moment this week? Seeing the baby moving around like crazy at our ultrasound last week! The first 2 ultrasounds the baby wasn't moving at all, so this was amazing to see! He or she was tumbling all over the place, and stretching their arms over their head. Clay, and I were both smiling so hard watching it, and I may have cried seeing it all.....pregnancy hormones are real people.

Miss Anything? The ease of sleep I had the first few months.

Movement? Too early for that, but there's definitely a lot of activity going on down there. Especially at night, my belly feels like it's little gas bubbles or tickling me from the inside. It's such a strange, beautiful feeling!

Food cravings? Still stuck on Peanut Butter & Jelly, and I go to bed almost every night with a chocolate chip eggo waffle.

Anything making you queasy or sick? Nothing lately

Have you started to show yet? Yes, but I can also still keep it hidden. I'm showing more in my hips than with a bump on the belly. The bump just started poking out, but my jeans haven't fit in a while because of everything expanding width wise.

Gender? At our ultrasound, the tech gave us a "prediction" that it's a boy. It's absolutely not offical, and too early to know for sure, but that's what she thinks. I still think it's a girl, Clay still thinks it's a boy. We find out for sure on October 16th!

Labor Signs? Nope

Belly Button in or out? In

Happy or Moody most of the time? Clay used the words, "Sassy" and "Fiesty" a bit more often this week. I think it's related to not sleeping well, but I'm still way happy most of the time.

Looking forward to? Our Dr Appt this week, and finally getting to hear the baby's heart beat!!! We've been very lucky, and have gotten to see the baby a lot thus far. After this week, we won't get to see it again for 5 weeks at the gender reveal ultrasound so I'm loving every second of our appointments!

First Trimester!

Appearantly our baby got off to a fast start! According to our first doctors visit, I'd be 14 weeks today. At our ultra sound last week, it was actually found that I am 13 weeks today. I'm told that, especially early on, this is common, and that I'm not going to be giving birth to a line backer. Phew! I'm going to be taking a picture at the last day of the previous week throughout this blog. So even though i'm 13 weeks today, this post will be about everything leading up to the end of week 12. :-) As of last week, Baby Roggy was the size of a LIME!

How far along? 13 weeks
Total weight gain/loss? The scale says it's only 5 lbs, my clohtes tell me other wise! Either way, I'm still less than I was freshmen year of college so I'll consider that a win!

Maternity clothes? Not yet, but i'm sure that's coming soon! Yesterday was the first day I tried the hair tie around the button of your pants trick, and WOW!!!! I felt like a new woman! That trick is going to make me a very happy mama thru these body changes!

Stretch marks? None, and I"m being adiment about applying lotion like a mad woman now that everything seems to be expanding quicker than before!

Sleep? I can't get enough of it, but if I'm woken up it's hard for me to get back to sleep. Regardless of how I slept the night before, I'm up at 6:30 A.M. ready for the day. I'm a morning person anyways so this doesn't bother me.

Best moment this week? Getting to see our baby in 3D at the doctors appointment, and being told that we have to come back next week to see it again since it wasn't cooperating! Technology has come so far, and it's amazing what you can see so clearly when the baby is still so small!

Miss Anything? My social life. Not the bars, and parties, and wild-ness of it. But spending time with my girl friends. I've been too tired to do ANYTHING! Seriously, I'm in bed as soon as I get home from work, and pretty much only get up to make food, and go right back to bed. I'm hoping to get more energy this trimester. I miss my ladies!

Movement? Too early for that, but there's definitely a lot of activity going on down there. Especially at night, my belly feels like it's little gas bubbles or tickling me from the inside. It's such a strange, beautiful feeling!

Food cravings? I believe yesterday was my first actual craving, and it was for a peanut butter & jelly sandwich? I also really want seafood, but I've always loved seafood so I dont' think that's a craving.

Anything making you queasy or sick? The smell of Roxy's dog food got me BAD for a few weeks, but it's not so bad anymore.

Have you started to show yet? Yes, but I can also still keep it hidden.
Gender? Clay thinks it's a boy, I think it's a girl. At first, I was dead set that it was a boy, but as time goes on I keep picturing a girl.

Labor Signs? Nope
Belly Button in or out? In
Happy or Moody most of the time? Very happy, I'm loving being pregnant thus far.

Looking forward to? Seeing the baby again this week, and then FINALLY hearing the heart beat the week after that! We've seen it at every ultra sound (161 bpm) but still haven't gotten to hear it.
