Week 29- Baby Boy is The Size of A Butternut Squash

29 Weeks, 5 Days

Week 29 was uncomfortably great. Clay, and I spent the week in North Carolina for Christmas with my family. They loved him, he loved North Carolina, my little sister threw an AMAZING baby shower for us, and we ate Southern and Tex-mex food the whole time! We lucked out on the weather, and even got to go to the beach Christmas night. Our trip was perfect, aside from going by way too fast. Now as far as traveling during pregnancy goes..... this was the not so perfect part of the week. The rib pain is only getting worse as baby boy gets bigger. Shocking, right? Fortunately, we were at home most of the time that it was bad so I could just lay down, or Clay, and I would go take a walk, and it would get better semi quickly. I got really bad leg cramps the first two days we were there. Day 1 from the flights, and Day 2 from the road trip to the beach. On the flights back to New Mexico, my rib/back pain was so severe I spent much of the flight standing up. Of course, the longer of the two flights had horrible turbulence so I had to sit down thru a lot of it too. I don't know if it was the combination of the pain, and the turbulence or what, but when I was in my seat I was horribly nauseous on top of the rib pain. Those 3 hours went by VERY slowly. Any time I was able to stand up, I felt almost immediate relief, and once we were off the plane, everything was fine. This was all worth it, but in future pregnancies, I will probably not be flying once I hit the 3rd trimester.

How far along? 30 weeks, 1 Day today

Total weight gain/loss? Haven't checked since we got back from vacation. Last weigh in was at 20 lbs, and I'm supposed to gain 1/2 lb per week for the remainder of pregnancy.

Maternity clothes? I've gotten this far with the few maternity items that I bought around 18 weeks, and it's going to stay that way. I only have 10 weeks left so regardless of how big I get, I'll be making do with what I have.

Stretch marks? None thankfully.

Sleep? Sleeping like a rock, but am waking up noticeably earlier.

Best moment this week? The baby shower in NC that my little sister threw us! It was perfect, and really made everything set in with how close we are to meeting our sweet boy.

Miss Anything? Rare Steak

Movement? Getting stronger every day, but it's still not painful.

Food/Drink cravings? Bojangles and Chuy's. We ate A LOT of both while we were in NC.

Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope!

Have you started to show yet? The only thing that hides it now is a sweatshirt!

Gender? It's a BOY!

Labor Signs? Nope

Belly Button in or out? We're closer to an outie, than an innie at this point

Happy or Moody most of the time? Very Happy

Week 28- Baby Boy is The Size of An Iceberg Lettuce

28 Weeks, 5 Days
Baby's face at 28 Weeks, 2 Days

Week 28 was a great one. We found out that both of the cyst's that were on baby's brain are completely gone!!! We also got an ADORABLE 4D pic of his face (see above). And my gluclose test results came back normal! Aside from getting large, and uncomfortable, the rest of pregnancy should be smooth sailing! This week the rib pain I had been experiencing got significantly worse. To the point where for 2 days in a row, I'd come home from work, and immediately be in the bed for the rest of the night. On Thursday, I spent much of the morning on my feet vs. sitting at my desk. This made such a huge difference! I had hardly any rib pain at all. I did this as well on Friday, and the same thing Saturday, and had almost no rib pain. I'll be making a habit of being on my feet in the AM from now on. I've also developed varicose veins on my left leg behind the knee, and going down part of the calf. Why this is only on one leg, not both is beyond me. These are common in pregnancy, but not everyone gets them. I'm just special I guess. Grrr. Either way, they should go away within a few weeks/ months after the baby comes, and my Dr has me wearing circulation socks now to help. I've only had the socks for 3 days, and I really can't tell a difference. I thought they'd be really tight around the calf, but they feel like normal crew socks. I'm going to give it a shot, and if there's no change by my next appointment in 2 weeks, the Dr said she'll send me to get fitted for a really good pair. That's been the only noticeable issue. I pee pretty much ever 30 mins, especially during the day as I make myself drink a ton of water. My digestive system is working normally, no heart burn, I'm sleeping great, and no headaches. Hoping to continue this way:-)

How far along? 29 weeks today

Total weight gain/loss? 20 lbs..... My goal was to be on the lower end of the typical pregnancy weight gain scale which is at 25 lbs. It's going to be close, but we'll see what happens these last 11 weeks.

Maternity clothes? I'm living in fleece leggings, sweater dresses, and flat boots. I pretty much rotate the same 5-8 outfits, and have no shame!

Stretch marks? None thankfully.

Sleep? Sleeping like a rock

Best moment this week? Seeing our baby in 4D again, and hearing that the cysts are gone. We probably won't have another ultrasound before he's born so this one was special.

Miss Anything? Rare Steak

Movement? Getting stronger every day, but it's still not painful.

Food/Drink cravings? Nothing in particular this week

Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope!

Have you started to show yet? The only thing that hides it now is a sweatshirt!

Gender? It's a BOY!

Labor Signs? Nope

Belly Button in or out? It's not an outie yet, but it's making its way there.....

Happy or Moody most of the time? Very Happy

Looking forward to? Being in NC with Clay & my family for Christmas!!!!

Week 27 Baby Boy is The Size of A Cauliflower

Week 27 was a good one physically, but i'm starting to notice things a bit more emotionally. I burst into tears twice this week. One time was justified, the other I honestly couldn't even tell you what I was crying about. I never went thru a big hormonal spike at the beginning of pregnancy so this is a noticeable change. We had a bit of a scare on Friday, but all is fine. Now that I feel him moving every day, and I've learned his routine, when it changed it freaked me out. He hardly moved at all Thursday night, and he's usually all over the place. I also didn't feel him all day on Friday. He doesn't usually move much during the day anyways, but I'll still feel him after I eat, no matter what time of day it is. After I ate lunch, and still didn't feel him I drank a Dr. Pepper. That usually does the trick, but still nothing. I called my Dr just to check. I was thinking it was normal, and they'd tell me to just see what he does tonight, and call back tomorrow if it doesn't change, but my nurse immediately sent me to the hospital. She said anything less than feeling him 4 times per hour is cause for concern. I had probably only felt him 4 times total in the previous 36 hours so this was a big deal! Thankfully they found his heart beat right away, and all looked fine on his ultrasound. They discovered that my placenta is in my front vs. my back. This is absolutely not a bad thing, but baby boy could've just been curled up behind it. They kept me for a few hours until his heart rate spiked twice, but I was still released that evening. Hopefully that'll be the last hospital trip before he's born, but I'm so releived everything was ok. This coming week we have 2 doctors appointments. Tomorrow is our nuero follow up to see if the cyst on the right side of his brain has gone away. Wednesday is my normal OB appointment where we get the results from my gluclose test. Deep breath in, deep breath out. They say to not stress, and relax so I'll be trying to do just that.

How far along? 28 weeks today

Total weight gain/loss? Heavy sigh as I type this, 17 lbs. I'm right on track with where I should be, but that number seems HUGE! Especially since the last weight check I had I was only at 11 lbs.

Maternity clothes? I'm pretty much over my work maternity pants. They're long so I have to wear heels with them, and wearing heels for more than 5 minutes of standing at a time is an absolute NO these days. I've been living in leggings/dresses/ and my flat boots.

Stretch marks? None thankfully.

Sleep? Sleeping like a rock

Best moment this week? No one particular moment, but the whole week went by pretty fast so that was a plus.

Miss Anything? Rare Steak

Movement? Getting stronger every day, but it's still not painful.

Food/Drink cravings? I was on a shrimp kick this week

Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope!

Have you started to show yet? The only thing that hides it now is a sweatshirt! Now that we're officially into baby bump, and not beer gut I'm loving it.

Gender? It's a BOY!

Labor Signs? Nope

Belly Button in or out? It's not an outie yet, but it's making its way there.....

Happy or Moody most of the time? This week took a turn on the Moody Train

Looking forward to? Our Dr Appts this week

Week 26 - Baby Boy is The Size of an Eggplant!

27 Weeks, 2 Days

Week 26 was a good one! No leg cramps this week, and still no heart burn! *Knocks on wood* The rib pain is still there, but it's not consistent which is nice. He's mainly switched to my right side, or at least only jabs into my ribs on the right side now. The only steady pain is lower back pain. (Duh, right?) I'm starting to learn his schedule, which tends to be opposite of mine. He's very active at night, and in the wee hours of the morning, and pretty mellow during the day. I'm still sleeping thru the night with out having to get up to pee, and his movements don't bother me at night either. I'm up at 5:00 AM almost every day, and have really enjoyed laying in bed for an hour just feeling him move. He starts my day off good :-) A huge development this week has been getting to see my belly move as he moves. It's not clear what body part it is, but my stomach definitely pokes out when he's moving. Some people say it's creepy, I find it fascinating.

How far along? 27 weeks, 2 days today

Total weight gain/loss? Heavy sigh as I type this, 17 lbs. I'm right on track with where I should be, but that number seems HUGE! Especially since the last weight check I had I was only at 11 lbs.

Maternity clothes? Still holding strong on the few pieces that I bought when my pants no longer fit. I wear the same things a lot, and I'm at the point now where I could justify buying more, but I'm trying not to. I really don't care about being "fashionable", and I'd rather buy baby stuff than buy clothes for me for just a few more weeks. I'll tackle that with the next pregnancy.

Stretch marks? None thankfully.

Sleep? Sleeping like a rock, and I've noticed that I'm getting winded a bit more easily lately. Only complaint is my lower back KILLS when I first wake up.

Best moment this week? Seeing the little dude making my stomach move when he moves. He's getting so big, and strong! Rawr!

Miss Anything? Rare Steak

Movement? More so at night, and in the early morning than during the day. I love every minute of feeling him move! I'm going to miss this part of pregnancy, I just know it.

Food/Drink cravings? Breakfast foods.

Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope!

Have you started to show yet? The only thing that hides it now is a sweatshirt! Now that we're officially into baby bump, and not beer gut I'm loving it.

Week 25- Baby Boy is The Size Of A Zucchini

Oh hello there Basketball sized Uterus. Ew, Uterus. Ew, I said Uterus!

I just want to start by saying how weird the fruit/ vegetable comparisons are for each week!! He went from a grapefruit to a zucchini??? That doesn't even make sense. Maybe it's that now he's the length of a zucchini? This current week, week 26, he's the size of an eggplant. I just can't picture it. And you better believe everytime we go to the store we go thru the produce isle and hold up whatever veggie baby is and analyze it. At the very least, we've gotten some good laughs over this! I don't know if any men read this, but if you do I'll apologize in advance for the next sentence. My Uterus is the size of a BASKETBALL! A freaking basketball!!!!! This blew my mind, but is very believable when looking down. I've said it before, I'll say it again, Pregnancy is weird. Ok, well now that i've gotten WAY off topic, let's get to it.

Week 25 was a good one, with new pregnancy related developments. I started getting leg cramps, especially on the days that I would wear heels. It's not horrible, but it is enough to keep me steering clear of heels for a while. My ribs have also been getting a sharp pain on the sides at the very top. Last week it was only on the left side, but this week it's been on the right side. I don't feel movement up there, so I don't know if it is the baby's foot or not, but it's very noticeable/ a quick change when it starts to hurt. Also, my preggo related scatter brain is in FULL FORCE! Oh my goodness, I've been such a space cadet lately. Not that I wasn't always a little loopy, but it's getting noticeably worse. Apparently all of this is normal, but I'm not a fan. None of these instances were really that bad, just new occurances worth mentioning. Even with all of this, we had a great week.

How far along? 26 weeks, 2 days today

Total weight gain/loss? Ummmm. Yea, not even going to torture myself with checking this.

Maternity clothes? Big changes as far as pre-pregnancy tops; they've magically started becoming shorter. Silly bump getting in the way, and all. Dangit! I was thinking I'd get away with not having to buy new tops, but I'm going to have to get a few new ones, for work at the very least.

Stretch marks? None thankfully.

Sleep? Clay was out of town for 4 days this week, and the dogs took this as a sign that mama needs to be smothered in bed! To the point where Jeter would squish himself between my belly and the preggo pillow, and Roxy would stretch across my back side, and refuse to move when I tried to roll over. Any time I'd pick Jeter up, and move him, he's immediately dart right back to wherever there was an opening for him. He was sleeping directly against me one way or another. They were complete brats, and I didn't sleep well. I love their snuggles, but sheesh!

Best moment this week? Clay finally getting to meet Kelsey's family on Thanksgiving :-) They're like family, and I always do holiday's with them when I don't go back to North Carolina so it was really special having him over there with me. Also, Eating leftovers from Thanksgiving for 4 days straight! :-) I always make my mama's Brocolli Cheese Casserole, and the leftovers are BOMB!

Miss Anything? Rare Steak

Movement? Getting stronger every day. I'm starting to learn his schedule/patterns, and freak out if I haven't felt him move in a few hours. Guilty mommy moment- If I haven't felt him in what I feel like is too long, I'll drink 1/2 a soda to get him moving. I don't do this often so hold off on the caffeine lecture! I'm allowed to have one a day, but I only have 1 or 2 a week so zip it. Lol horrible I know, but once I feel him it makes me feel better.

Food/Drink cravings? Brocolli Cheese Casserole leftovers. They're all gone, but I'll be making another batch this week. ;-p

Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope!

Have you started to show yet? Oh Yes! This week was the first time someone from the building that I work at noticed/asked if I was expecting.

Gender? It's a BOY!

Labor Signs? Nope

Belly Button in or out? More so flat, than an inney. Clay finds this part of pregnancy absolutely HILARIOUS! He makes a point to comment on my belly button every time he sees my belly...... yea.....hilarioius. Hmph

Happy or Moody most of the time? Very happy

Looking forward to? Same story, different week. Putting together the nursery :-)

Week 24- Baby Boy Is The Size of A Grape Fruit

25 Weeks, 2 Days

Week 24 was another good week. My usual bed time is between 9:00-10:00, but we were up until almost midnight every night with moving, and getting unpacked. I don't know how, but I still woke up at 6:30 A.M. every day, rested, and ready for the day. I'm knocking on wood as I type this..... I've also been completely sleeping thru the night with out having to get up to pee! Maybe it's the exhaustion when I finally lay down, or that I stop drinking water an hour before bed? I have no idea, but it's been so nice! We still have SO MUCH to do with unpacking, but have been making awesome progress. The baby's closet may have been done before our closet was done..... Haha, I couldn't help myself. When I needed a break, I found sitting in his room, sorting thru baby clothes to be so relaxing. And can we talk about how adorable baby clothes are when they're hung up?! So itty bitty, and precious! Clay came upstairs after not seeing me for about an hour to see what I was doing, and when I directed him to the closet he got the biggest grin on his face! "That's so cute." were his exact words. Sorry to blow your cover babe, but seeing how even he thought the baby closet was adorable just melted my heart. We're slowly getting settled, and loving every minute of it. It makes the stress of it all so worth it when we snuggle up on the couch at the end of the night, and both comment on how much we love how the house is coming together. We really are turning our house into a home :-)

How far along? 25 weeks, 2 days today

Total weight gain/loss? I don't know, but I'm willing to bet money I've gained more since last week.

Maternity clothes? Only wearing maternity pants or maxi skirts, and have had fewer pre-pregnancy tops work.

Stretch marks? None thankfully.

Sleep? Our bed at the new house was an upgrade to a King Sleep Number. Oh......my.......god! Sleep has been AMAZING! I don't wake up at all during the night. The bed is so comfortable! There's room for both dogs, my preggo pillow, and Clay, and I both have our space. I've been in heaven.

Best moment this week? Getting the guest room situated, and hearing Clay comment on what might be nice to have in there for when my parents come to visit. His thoughtfulness blows me away at times. Also unpacking all of the baby stuff together, and seeing Clay get excited over certain outfits all over again <3 Moving is so hectic, and stressful, but once everything was in the new house, we've actually had a really nice time unpacking and getting settled. It's a process, but we work really well together/ he makes it enjoyable.

Miss Anything? Rare Steak

Movement? Baby is making BIG moves in there. We went to the movies the other night, and Clay had his hand on my belly while he was moving. After the movie, Clay commented on how much stronger the kicks are/ how he feels them way more now than last week. It's so amazing what a difference a week makes in pregnancy.

Food/Drink cravings? Schlotskyzs original sandwich. The fact that there's one right by my work made this craving very accessible :-)

Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope!

Have you started to show yet? Yes

Gender? It's a BOY!

Labor Signs? Nope

Belly Button in or out? More so flat, than an inney. Clay finds this part of pregnancy absolutely HILARIOUS! He makes a point to comment on my belly button every time he sees my belly...... yea.....hilarioius. Hmph

Looking forward to? Putting the crib together (we pick it up today), and starting to really personalize the nursery <3

Week 23- Baby Boy is The Size of A Pomegrante

24 Weeks, 3 Days

Week 23 was a good week! It flew by with the craziness of moving, and there was very little discomfort or pain. We had a Dr's appointment on Wednesday, and everything checked out great. Baby boy is staying put for quite a while longer, and she confirmed what I already knew: to not over-do it during the move. Clay's been the enforcer of this while at home, and has been incredibly helpful with everything. It's been difficult for me because my independence, and work ethic (simply put, being a control freak) doesn't allow me to take help easily. He's patient with my bossyness, and is firm on me doing minimal lifting. I know he's right, and I appreciate the gesture. He's always been a great boyfriend/partner, but seeing how he's transitioned thru this pregnancy has been so beautiful. We met during a stage in our life where we were partying a lot, and the transition that I HAD to make, he chose to make as well. Our weekend nights have turned into the same bedtimes as week nights, and he's never once held this against me, or acted like it was a bother to him. I've even been concerned at times, and suggested that he go out when there's a concert or something going on that, a year ago, we wouldn't have missed! He just brushes it off, and says he wouldn't enjoy it knowing I was at home.... and he'd rather get up early to golf the next day anyways ;-p We still do fun things together, but our time frame of going out/ going home has just shifted significantly. I'll thank his love of golf for this change partially, but I know the majority of it is him stepping up to fatherhood. He's going to be an amazing daddy :-)

How far along? 24 weeks, 3 days today

Total weight gain/loss? I don't know how, but I'm holding steady at 11 lbs.

Maternity clothes? Only wearing maternity pants or maxi skirts, and have had fewer pre-pregnancy tops work. This has been a huge help with clearing out a lot of my closet though. I've held on to clothes from highschool, that I finally parted ways with! My mind set when going thru my closet was, "Will I wear this with a baby on my hip?" If it was a no, it was a go. It was such an easy, cleansing task!

Stretch marks? None thankfully. If i'm going to get them, it'll be soon though. Belly's getting BIG

Sleep? I'm sleeping well, but am changing positions more frequently. Any time I change sides, it takes a bit more effort than it has previously.

Best moment this week? Hearing his heart beat again, and the Dr saying all was ok regarding my contractions last week.

Miss Anything? Rare Steak

Movement? Getting stronger every day, still not painful though!

Food/Drink cravings? Smothered Green Chile Bean Burrito. Had this at least 4x last week. Baby boy likes SPICY!!!

Moving this weekend, and getting to set up the nursery. Our theme is Arcitc Animals/ Mountains and we already have some cute stuff, and some great ideas!

Week 22- Baby Is The Size of A Papaya

23 Weeks & 3 Days

Week 22 was a good one during the week, and a stressful one over the weekend. We're getting ready to move next week, and even though I'm not doing any heavy lifting, I am doing a lot of packing/loading of small boxes if Clay's not home. I did this thru most of the week, but would only do one load, then we would have dinner, and be relaxing for the night. On Saturday, I was lifting boxes all day, then had to go to work at the restaurant. A few hours into the shift, I started having contractions. I've never had them before, and I'm just shy of 6 months so it is WAY too early for that. Needless to say, it was a very scary feeling. I got sent home after they didn't stop for an hour or two, which I protested to at first, but once I got home I was so glad for it! They tamed down a lot, but lasted until about 4:00 A.M. Sunday. I went back to work on Sunday, and sure enough, a few hours into my shift, starting getting them again. They weren't nearly as strong as on Saturday, but having them two days in a row was a big sign that it's time to slow down. I don't plan on quitting my restaurant job yet, but I am going to stop working until we're done moving. I'm not one to just sit around, especially when there's things that need to be done. My body told me something, quite aggressively about trying to move, and do the restaurant job. The two just don't mix. I'm fine with  taking a few weeks off until we're settled :-) I also have a Dr's Appointment in a few hours so I'll be going over all of this with my Dr. as well.

How far along? 23 weeks, 3 days today

Total weight gain/loss? Bump keeps getting bigger, I keep avoiding the scale. Ha! I'll find out at the Dr. today so that'll go on next weeks post.

Maternity clothes? Still managing to make most, not all, but most tops work. Some tops are now getting to be too short, some are getting to be too inappropriate in the upstairs lady department.

Stretch marks? None thankfully. If i'm going to get them, it'll be soon though. Belly's getting BIG

Sleep? I'm sleeping well, but am changing positions more frequently. Any time I change sides, it takes a bit more effort than it has previously.

Best moment this week? Clay finally getting to feel baby boy move!!!

Miss Anything? Rare Steak

Movement? Getting stronger every day, still not painful though!

Food/Drink cravings? Mussels! I gave in after reading an article that as long as they're cooked, you can have small doses. And OMG it was so, so, so good! I still won't have them often, but it hit the spot!

Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope!

Have you started to show yet? Yes

Gender? It's a BOY!

Labor Signs? Nope

Belly Button in or out? More so flat, than an inney.

Happy or Moody most of the time? Very happy

Looking forward to? Our Dr Appointment today! Any week that we get to hear or see him is amazing <3

Week 21- Baby Boy is the Size of a Carrot!!!

21 WEEKS!!!!
Week 21 was a great one! I slept great, had very little pain/discomfort. I'm starting to feel him move more, and more every day. He's still not kicking hard enough for Clay to feel, which also means that it's not painful yet so i'm enjoying this time. I can't WAIT for Clay to be able to feel him though. He tries to anytime the baby's moving, but the little guy just isn't big enough yet. I have a feeling that will change within the next week or so though. On a totally different note, baby boy either LOVES or HATES Taylor Swift. Every time, "Shake it off" comes on, he instantly starts moving. I love country music, and listen to it all the time so i'm hoping this means he likes it too? Either way, it cracks me up!

How far along? 22 weeks today

Total weight gain/loss? Haven't checked, but the bump doubled in size this week

Maternity clothes? I've had to watch what work tops I wear because some have started to become a bit inappropriate. The only pants I fit in now are maternity pants, and leggings. No complaints here, it's been incredibly comfortable!

Stretch marks? None, and I'm being adiment about applying lotion like a mad woman now that everything seems to be expanding quicker than before!

Sleep? I'm sleeping easily thru the night, and waking up feeling rested/ready for the day.

Best moment this week? Seeing our new house, and starting to visualize the nursery. Can't wait to get settled!

Miss Anything? Steak and Mussels :-(

Movement? He's a very active lil guy! Especially after I eat, it feels like he's doing somersaults in there.

Food/Drink cravings? I craved beer this week. Obviously I didn't give into this craving, but I really wanted one the other day after work. It was weird.

Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope!

Have you started to show yet? Yes

Gender? It's a BOY!

Labor Signs? Nope

Belly Button in or out? In, but a little bit less so this week than last. Eeek! I'm gonna have an outie! Lol

Happy or Moody most of the time? Very happy

Looking forward to? When his movements are strong enough for Clay to feel <3

Week 20- Baby is the Size of A Banana

Week 20 was a great one! The only discomfort I felt was mild tail-bone pain which has been steady thru the pregnancy anyways. We had our follow-up appointment for the Cysts on baby's brain that were found at our last ultrasound. There was 1 on each side of his brain before. As of Thursday, the one on the left was completely gone! I had more blood work done, and that all came back normal! We also met with a genetic counselor, who said that nothing in our genetic history will negatively affect our baby boy's development. After the Nuero ultrasound, they found out that the cyst on the right side of his brain is still there, but the Dr. assured us that it WILL go away. It can't be predicted when, but it will go away, and it won't affect any development until it does. I'll feel 100% happy once the one on the right is gone, but I am so relieved at the good news, and am no longer worried. We have our next appointment for a brain scan in 7 weeks. I'm confident we'll get good news then :-)

How far along? 21 weeks, 2 days today

Total weight gain/loss? 11 lbs- up a pound from last week

Maternity clothes? Wearing maternity pants, and loving it! Most of my tops are still ok, and I've been wearing maxi skirts/dresses with sweaters regularly. It's been a very comfy few weeks as far as clothing goes.

Stretch marks? None, and I'm being adiment about applying lotion like a mad woman now that everything seems to be expanding quicker than before!

Sleep? I'm sleeping easily thru the night, and waking up feeling rested/ready for the day.

Best moment this week? Hearing that everything is going to be ok with his brain!

Miss Anything? Steak, and mussels. Shrimp helps curb some of the seafood cravings, but MAN do I miss it.

Movement? He's a very active lil guy! Especially after I eat, it feels like he's doing somersaults in there.

Have you started to show yet? Yes

Week 19- Baby BOY is the size of a Large Mango

Week 19 was a breeze with baby boy, but a disaster with my own health. I though I had the flu, it's not thank god, but it was a miserable week. I'm taking what little medicine I can, and sleeping like crazy. I'm sure it'll pass soon. We did the announcement this week that IT'S A BOY!!! It's been so great/ made things so much more personal referring to baby as our son, vs. "it". We're still not set on a name, and probably won't be until we meet him for the first time. How funny that we were dead set on a name, then found out the sex, and that changed. I'm 1/2 way there, and it's caused a stir of mixed emotions. The nerves are starting to set in at how soon he'll be here. So much to do, so little time!

How far along? 20 weeks today

Total weight gain/loss? 10 lbs, and I'm ok with this. They say you want to aim for 25-35 lbs of weight gain during pregnancy, so gaining 10 lbs at 1/2 way thru puts me on the low end of being right on track.

Sleep? Slept A LOT this week! Thank you Benadryl :-)

Best moment this week? Feeling the baby move!

Miss Anything? Steak, I like mine cooked Rare, which is a big no-no during pregnancy :-(

Movement? Finally felt it for real! No more flutters! It's not super strong to the point where Clay can feel it yet, but I feel him all the time, and love it! It's not painful yet as his bones are still getting stronger, but now it's like BIG gas bubbles, that move around. There's no doubt that it's him.

Food/Drink cravings? Orange Juice, and soup/salad

Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope!

Have you started to show yet? Yes, it's not super obvious yet though

Gender? It's a BOY!

Labor Signs? Nope

Belly Button in or out? In, but not quite as much as before. Lol

Happy or Moody most of the time? Very happy

Looking forward to? When his movements are strong enough for Clay to feel <3
Even though this is the 19th week blog, this pic was from day 1 of Week 20

Week 18- Baby is the Size of A Bell Pepper, and WE FOUND OUT THE GENDER!

The wind hid the blue balloons, but they're there!
What do you think?!
Boy or Girl?

Week 18 was an easy one physically, but a hard one emotionally. We got some news that should be nothing, but could be something. I'd rather not share the details at this time, but would like to ask for prayers, positive thoughts, happy dances, or whatever might be your way of bestowing luck. We'll know more a week from Thursday, and for now, we're just having faith that all will be fine. That's all we can do as we wait, and let our sweet pea continue to grow, and develop.

How far along? 19 weeks today

Total weight gain/loss? Won't be doing this part until the next Dr. Appt. I don't trust my scale at home, so I'm only going off of the "official" one.

Maternity clothes? Finally broke down, and bought 2 pairs of work pants, and a pair of jeans. WHAT WAS I THINKING WAITING?!?! These pants are the most comfortable things ever! I don't know why I was fighting it/ messing with the hair tye around the pants trick. Next pregnancy, I'll be wearing maternity pants as soon as my other pants start getting uncomfortable. Shoot, I may even wear maternity clothes when i'm not pregnant, I love them!

Stretch marks? None, and I'm being adiment about applying lotion like a mad woman now that everything seems to be expanding quicker than before!

Sleep? Sleep was horrible this week, but I'm sure it was due to stress/the news.

Best moment this week? Finding out the gender was bitter-sweet. We're so incredibly happy, it just came with some other news that affected our mood that day.

Miss Anything? Steak, I like mine cooked Rare, which is a big no-no during pregnancy :-(

Movement? No movement yet. If so, it's being over passed by the pains my ligaments stretching is causing. Ha!

Food/Drink cravings? Orange Juice, and I had fajitas 3 days last week! So so so good!

Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope!

Have you started to show yet? Yes, it's not super obvious yet though

Gender? Announcement coming soon :-)

Labor Signs? Nope

Belly Button in or out? In

Happy or Moody most of the time? Let's just say- emotional, with a positive outlook

Looking forward to? Now that we know the gender, the next milestone is Christmas, and getting to see my family! I can't wait for them to see the baby belly, and it'll for sure be moving by then so getting to share that with my parents will be so amazing. Miss y'all so much!

Week 17- Baby is the Size of an Onion!

Week 17 was another good week! I can't help, but laugh at myself for thinking I was showing back around 12 weeks. It was most definitely not baby! It was being bloated, and gaining weight from sleeping all the time. I still wouldn't say there's a big bump, but my body is more baby now, than it is being bloated. The transition to having a baby belly is a fast one these days! The stretching pains in my lower belly are fairly constant now, and I have to roll on my side to get out of bed. None of this bothers me too much. Still enjoying this adventure :-) It was a crazy busy weekend, and Monday so there's no pic in front of the board for this post. This pic is from Saturday at a haunted house, with the super cute baby skeleton shirt my little sister sent :-)

How far along? 18 weeks, and 2 days today

Total weight gain/loss? Won't be doing this part until the next Dr. Appt. I don't trust my scale at home, so I'm only going off of the "official" one.

Maternity clothes? Down to very few of my regular pants working with the hair tie trick. After the 4th pair that fit last week, and don't fit this week, I threw in the towel and wore a skirt to work today. I'll be making a trip to buy maternity pants this weekend for sure.

Stretch marks? None, and I'm being adiment about applying lotion like a mad woman now that everything seems to be expanding quicker than before!

Sleep? As long as Clay, and I aren't bickering over the preggo pillow, I sleep great! Ha! He doesn't like that it takes up so much room, and "I don't snuggle with him anymore" He's a good sport though cause that pillow makes such a difference for mama's back! :-)

Best moment this week? Feeling & seeing my belly really starting to change.

Miss Anything? Steak, I like mine cooked Rare, which is a big no-no during pregnancy :-(

Movement? No movement yet. If so, it's being over passed by the pains my ligaments stretching is causing. Ha!

Food/Drink cravings? Orange Juice, and no food specifically, but i've been a bottomless pit lately! I'm sticking with healthy snacks for the most part, but am hungry ALL the time!

Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope!

Have you started to show yet? Yes, and I won't be able to hide it for long.

Gender? I think girl, Clay thinks boy. We'll find out next week!!!! :-)

Labor Signs? Nope

Belly Button in or out? In

Happy or Moody most of the time? Happy :-)

Looking forward to? Finding out the gender, and getting settled in our new place so I can start nesting!

Week 16- Baby is the size of an Avacado!

16 Weeks

Week 16 was another good week! My body is starting to change more drastically, and this is the first week that I've really FELT pregnant. The ligaments in my lower abdomen are stretching, and causing sharp pains/pressure, more so at night than during the day. Even though this is painful, it doesn't last long, and i'm kind of fascinated by it! I swear every day my belly is a little bit bigger than it was the day before. When I put my hand on my belly, it's also starting to round out much more! It's so beautiful to see/feel this transition :-)

How far along? 17 weeks today

Total weight gain/loss? Won't be doing this part until the next Dr. Appt. I don't trust my sclae at home, so I'm only going off of the "official" one.

Maternity clothes? Still making my regular clothes work with modifications. I give it 3 weeks until no pants fit, and i'm kind of ok with that. I looked at Motherhood Maternity the other day for the first time, and the preggo jeans really aren't bad! Aside from the waist band, you'd never know they weren't normal jeans, and they're cute/ cheap.

Stretch marks? None, and I'm being adiment about applying lotion like a mad woman now that everything seems to be expanding quicker than before!

Sleep? Can't get enough of it! And I got the preggo pillow last week, and LOVE IT! Oh my gosh, I can tell such a difference when I sleep with it vs. when I don't.

Ha!

Food cravings? Not at the same time, but salad & orange juice.

Anything making you queasy or sick? I've never been a fan of whipped cream, but smelling it doesn't bother me. For some reason, when Clay sprayed some directly into his mouth the other night, and it sent me running to the bathroom. We were also at dinner with his dad, and grandpa so this was mildly embarassing..... lol.

Have you started to show yet? Yes, and I won't be able to hide it for long.

Gender? 2 more weeks until we know for sure :-)

Labor Signs? Nope

Belly Button in or out? In

Happy or Moody most of the time? Happily exhausted

Looking forward to? Finding out the gender :-) We had talked about waiting until birth to find out, but now that we've decided to find out, I'm really excited/anxious about it! Come on Oct. 16th!!!

Week 15- Baby is the size of an Apple!

Week 15 was a good one!!! I got heart burn for the first time on Friday, and that was NOT  a good time. It passed after an hour or so though, and I haven't gotten it agian since. I'll count that as a blessing, and never eat the smart ones turkey and potatoes meal again. Aside from rapidly growing, my body felt normal this week. As I write this, we're at the beginning of the 16th week. We find out the sex in 3 weeks!!! This all seems so crazy to me! Time is absolutely flying by! I can't wait to meet our sweet baby, but wouldn't complain if time would slow down just a bit either. Being preganat has been such a blissful, blessing thus far. :-) Here's the overview of what Week 15 was like!

How far along? 16 weeks today

Total weight gain/loss? Won't be doing this part until the next Dr. Appt. I don't trust my sclae at home, so I'm only going off of the "official" one.

Maternity clothes? Not yet, but my work pants for the restaurant just magically stopped working yesterday, even with the hair tie trick, they were a no-go! Fortunately I still had a bigger size that I fit into, but even that pair needs the hair tie modification.

Stretch marks? None, and I'm being adiment about applying lotion like a mad woman now that everything seems to be expanding quicker than before!

Sleep? Back to not being able to get enough of it. I've been working 60 hour weeks between both jobs, and it's starting to catch up with me. I'll continue to do it until I can't anymore. Babies are expensive y'all!

Best moment this week? Sleeping well all week.

Miss Anything? Steak, I like mine cooked Rare, which is a big no-no during pregnancy :-(

Movement? Too early for that, but there's definitely a lot of activity going on down there. Especially at night, my belly feels like it's little gas bubbles or tickling me from the inside. It's such a strange, beautiful feeling!

Food cravings? I was on a cookie kick this week, and cocoa puffs. Very different development because until now, I haven't wanted chocolate at all!

Anything making you queasy or sick? The thought of baked chicken. I can have fried chicken or chicken on pizza, but a baked chicken breast just sounds awful.

Have you started to show yet? Yes, and I won't be able to hide it for long.

Gender? At our ultrasound, the tech gave us a "prediction" that it's a boy. It's absolutely not offical, and too early to know for sure, but that's what she thinks. I still think it's a girl, Clay still thinks it's a boy. We find out for sure on October 16th!

Labor Signs? Nope

Belly Button in or out? In

Happy or Moody most of the time? Happily exhausted

Week 14

We just wrapped on Week 14, and it was a great week! I had no discomfort, more energy, and slept great all week. I'm finally able to get back into working out, which I couldn't do at all the first 3 months. The first time I tried running, I stopped shortly after. I felt very off balance, and wasn't sure what was right or wrong about it. This week, running felt more natural, and I was able to go farther than last time. The pups, as well as mama, are thrilled to be spending more time out of bed. The pic this week is from our 3-D Ultrasound of baby at 12 1/2 weeks . Baby has a long torso like daddy! Hope you enjoy!

Facing the camera, you can see the nose, and eye sockets

How far along? 15 weeks today

Total weight gain/loss? 7 lbs total. I gained 5 within the first month of pregnancy, and was some what freaking out about not wanting to gain too much. It's slowed down quite a bit now thankfully!

Maternity clothes? Not yet. Most of my pants need some modification already, but the pair that I wore to the fair this weekend still buttoned with out muffin top! It was a very exciting day!

Stretch marks? None, and I'm being adiment about applying lotion like a mad woman now that everything seems to be expanding quicker than before!

Sleep? Sleep was much better this week. I've started being more active, and taking the dogs for long walks at night so that's helping too!

Best moment this week? Hearing the baby's heart beat for the first time. He/she was coming in steady at 161 bpm, which is higher than it has been in the past, so the tech said it was probably moving around :-) That sound, was the most beautiful thing I've ever heard. We recorded it, and I listen to it every day.

Steak, steak, steak! And peanut butter & jelly still :-)

Anything making you queasy or sick? Nothing lately

Have you started to show yet? Yes, but I can also still keep it hidden. I have a feeling that won't last for long though. Everything seems to be expanding at a rapid pace lately.
